Senior Corporate Partnership Manager - (2102728)

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

The Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager will perform these duties: 1. Supervise and manage planning, personnel and projects of the Corporate Partnerships unit and ensure cross-cutting, collaborative, horizontal and efficient implementation of the unit’s workplan. 2. Advise and support Director/CRP on the overall strategic direction, management, plans and priorities of the Corporate Partnerships unit of the component of the Partnership Programme. 3. Provide strategic and collaborative guidance to existing and new corporate partnerships across all organizational levels with a special country focus. 4. Advise, plan, facilitate and support the full portfolio of WHO/EMRO’s corporate partnership initiatives and engagements with State and Non-State partners including philanthropic bodies, UN partners, required to secure their trust, investments and agreed health outcomes throughout the EMR region. 5. Collaborate closely with Governing Bodies and other concerned units to enhance and expand Regional Partnership initiatives such as Regional Health Alliance, Health Diplomacy, and the Islamic Advisory Group (IAG). 6. Establish productive, synergistic and harmonized working relationships with other 2 partnership units as well other CRP programmes, namely Communications and Resource Mobilization. 7. Consult, advise, plan and otherwise engage with concerned colleagues at HQ, EMRO and Country Offices (COs) to help ensure that corresponding corporate partnership opportunities (existing and potential) are prioritized and enabled for their agreed deliverables as well as exploring areas for growing. 8. Ensure that key corporate partners and engagements with them receive needed visibility and recognition via creative and engaging communications content (including visual and field[1]based stories), channels and platforms. 9. Develop, expand and strengthen partner initiatives and engagements as they align and connect with WHO/EMRO strategic priorities. 10. Ensure that appropriate mechanisms and approaches are developed and/or in place to manage, monitor, evaluate and report the progress of corporate partnerships. 11. Regularly assess the value-added of the corporate partnerships for extending WHO/EMRO’s technical reach; providing visibility and advocacy; and generating resources. 12. Prioritize the building and embedding of specific capabilities and tools needed by WHO/EMRO and country offices for cultivating new and required corporate partnerships with requisite skills and success. 13. Guide and support the conduct of due diligence and risk assessment in corporate partner engagements by corresponding WHO/EMRO and country office personnel. 14. Develop extensive contacts and negotiate directly with WHO/EMRO partners at fora and meetings. 15. Produce and share technical and analytical reports as/when required to ensure that important partner engagements and developments are communicated on an expedient and efficient basis by/with relevant technical and emergencies personnel in the Regional and Country Offices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Master’s degree in Public Health, International Relations, Business Management, Communications, Law or a related field.

Desirable: PHD degree in one of the above fields; and/or research background in the fields of international relations, partnership, governing bodies especially in the public health, humanitarian and philanthropic sectors.

 

Experience

 Essential: At least 10 years' experience preferably including: development and management of external relations; governing body management; organization of multi-stakeholder meetings; resource mobilization; and contract negotiations. This experience should be complemented by an excellent track record in the public and/or private sectors, some of which gained at international level.
